The AEM includes on-line carrier identification and tracking capabilities. This provides instantaneous access to carrier and load locations, which is especially beneficial in situations where specific loads must be selected from on-line storage.
AEM carrier assemblies are individually powered, drawing energy from track-mounted electrification. Systems feature standard operating speeds up to 300 feet/minute (100 meters/minute), although much higher speeds are possible in specialized applications.
AEMs are adaptable to weights up to 6,000 lbs. (2,722 kg) in both overhead and inverted configurations.
