What type of people and organizations visit and use Zycon?
Zycon's primary users and visiting organizations include Fortune 1000 companies, OEM's, universities, government contractors, militaries, purchasing agents, technical buyers, engineers, and even "people-working-out-of-their-home".
What types (industries) of companies does Zycon have listed in its Directory?
Zycon's primary focus is on industrial manufacturing companies and distributors. We do have a slight selection of commerical-based companies (such as those under Computer Equipment) as those also cater to the industrial community. At this time, we do not list companies that supply primarily residential or agricultural products (i.e. swimming pools, DIY carports, arts & crafts, corn, tractors, etc).
Do I have to register in order to access any of the information contained in Zycon? If so, is there a fee?
Absolutely not for both questions! It is completely free to search Zycon, however you will have limited search capability and some features of the site will be disabled. Users are still encouraged to register for free in order to:
- Have unlimited searches
- Have forms, especially the "Request Quote" form, pre-filled
- Allow file attachments in an RFQ (Request for Quote)
Do I have to pay in order to list my company?
No, it is completely free! If you just want to place your company name, address, phone and fax number, and category-specific descriptions online under five or less primary product categories, then our "Basic Listing" will suit your purpose. If you want to further enhance your listing, add a direct web link, and promote your products, then you can optionally enroll in our paid "Basic Plus" or "Premium Listing" Program (see next two questions).
How do I get my company logo online and/or a direct link to my company's website?
Zycon offers an affordable "Basic Plus" program just for this purpose. In addition to a company logo and direct web link, your advertisement will appear above the free listings, and can have additional category associations.

How do I get my product images and literature online?
You will need to upgrade to a paid "Premium Listing". Premium Listings include:
- Higher placement than Basic and Basic Plus listings
- Capability to accept RFQs (Requests for Quote) and other product inquiries directly from industrial buyers
- Multiple categories and subcategories with a customized description for each
- Small and large company logo
- Product images with associated text and literature

How do I update my account or company information?
You don't have to contact anyone to have your information changed. We've set up our directory to allow you to change the information yourself. This will ensure that your changes take place on a timely basis!
Changing your information is simple. First off, make sure you are logged on. Once logged on, click "Edit Account" or "Edit Listing" on the top navigation menu, or "Modify Profile" on the webpage footer. From there, you will be able to change your username, password, company information, product/service images and text (if applicable), and so on.
Why does my paid listing appear without a logo or image?
In most cases, this only affects customers on Pay-per-Click ("PPC") programs. This is because you have reached your monthly budget for clickthroughs. If this is the case, you should have received an e-mail at the address listed in your user profile. You can verify your e-mail address on the "Edit Account" form. For more information, please contact us so we can resolve this issue and get your company listing reinstated.
Does Zycon really manufacture or distribute all of the products listed?
Zycon does not manufacture nor distribute any of the products listed on our site. Zycon also can not answer any product-specific questions. Zycon is an industrial directory and buyer's guide containing a list of manufacturers and suppliers. Please forward all product-related inquiries to the company or companies responsible for supplying the particular product. We recommend you utilize our "Request Quote" feature. If you prefer to call, fax, or mail the company, all related contact information is found on the "Company Details" page.
How do I inquire about a product or service I see on Zycon?
The recommended way is to use our RFQ (Request for Quote) feature on the "Company Details" page. Click here to see an example. Alternate means of contact (mailing address, phone/fax number, etc) are also located on the Company Details page.
Do you know the [address, location, and/or phone number, etc] of [company]?
If the company is listed in our Directory, then yes. You can retrieve this information by performing a "Company Search" from our home page. If the company is not listed on our site, we can attempt to locate it for you by other means, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to find all needed information.
Do you know any companies near me that can supply me the product/service I need?
We will first try to redirect you to a company already listed in Zycon. If none are listed, we will attempt to locate one or more companies outside the Zycon site and pass you along any information, if available.
I have a new product design. Can you help me manufacture and/or distribute it?
Since Zycon does not manufacture nor distribute any of the products listed on our site, we generally cannot help you with your new product design or enhancement. The best advice we can offer is to check through our site for companies related to the product in which you are trying to make or market and ask them if they can do anything.
