| Oct 29, 2013 — Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, USA, announces the new Model 9458 quad channel RJ45 CAT5e A/B/Offline switch. This switch is manually operated and requires no power. All four channels switch simultaneously between position A, B, and Offline.
Each channel allows access to two CAT5e RJ45 networks from one COMMON network or device. The switch includes (3) RJ45 female port connectors, an A, B, and COMMON for each of the four channels. This switch features the security of an Off-line position. The switch ports are transparent to all data. All pins of the RJ45 interface are switched. This switch is certified for CAT5e compliance.
This switch is operated simply via a front panel rotary knob. This switch incorporates quality components including a sealed switch with self-wiping precious metal contacts. The switch is configured in a slim rack-mount enclosure and fits perfectly in a standard 19” rack. The attractive anodized black box packaging provides EMI/RFI shielding. The switch dimensions are 19” W x 1.75” H x 8” D (48.3 x 4.4 x 20.3 cm) and the weight is approximately 2.0 lbs. (0.9 Kg).
