	Tweet Apr 4, 2011 — Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, announces its new PathWay® Model 7294 16-Channel CAT5 RJ45 A/B Switch with Ethernet and RS232 Remote Control. Model 7294 allows sharing a single port interface device connected to the Common port among two other devices connected to the A and B ports for each channel. Control the switch remotely via an Ethernet 10/100 Base-T connection and either Telnet commands or Graphical User Interface through the RJ45 Remote port. Remote control can also be accomplished using RS232 serial commands through the DB9 port. Utilize these two remote control methods to query switch status, change switch position, and control front panel lockout. All sixteen channels are switched simultaneously and all 8 pins of the RJ45 interface are switched. The switch ports are transparent to all data. Switch maintains position on power loss and continues to pass data. Front panel LED's display current position and power status. Pushbutton control is included for simple manual operation.
