| Mar 25, 2010 — Gurnee, IL - Drivecon, Inc. is pleased to introduce a Remote Crane Service (RCS) product designed to monitor and analyze crane operations from a remote location. The Remote Crane Service allows you to monitor, diagnose and program your XT & XS Series Drives, CID Hoist Monitor or PLC with any IBM compatible PC. The service utilizes a wireless interface along with an Ethernet to a serial converter; allowing you to interface directly to a VFD, CID Hoist Monitor or PLC.
The RCS system allows the use of our NCDrive programming software which is the commissioning and monitoring tool for the XT & XS Series Drive products. It further allows you to compare parameter sets, change the active application, save/print parameters and generate service reports to file and set references. Remote Crane Service monitoring allows you to troubleshoot issues as they happen and ensures your crane system is performing efficiently. One of the more unique features the RCS offers is the ability for the crane to send an email notification/alert when problems do arise. This quickens the response time and lessens down time.
