| Nov 25, 2008 — HP Fiber to RS-232 & RS-485 Converters Designed for Casino Data Networks
Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, announces new HP Fiber to RS-232 and HP Fiber to RS-485 Converters that are ideal for casino data networks. These converters connect fiber optic linked terminals to a controller having either RS-485 or RS-232 interface ports. The advantage of conversion to a fiber optic communication standard is that the data transmission is no longer susceptible to electrostatic or electromagnetic fields.
These converters convert RS-485/RS-422/RS-232 serial communication interface to HP Versatile Link plastic core cable. The converters provide full galvanic isolation (no metallic connection) between connected devices. The data transfer rate is greater than 20 Kbps. Models 4127 and 4129 convert HP Fiber to RS-485. Models 4137 and 4139 convert HP fiber to RS-232.
Electro Standards also supplies HP Versatile Link Plastic Core cables. For more information, contact Electro Standards Laboratories at 401-943-1164, eslab@electrostandards.com, www.ElectroStandards.com | |
