| Sep 25, 2012 — Chatsworth, California, USA – Dytran Instruments, Inc. (www.dytran.com) a leading manufacturer of piezoelectric and DC MEMS accelerometers, force and pressure transducers and associated electronics, has introduced the model 3062B1, an IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer, expressly designed to cover most wide-band frequency vibration measurement points of Rotor, Track and Balance (RTB); airframe; helicopter and fixed wing aircraft. The industry has commonly referred to these sensors as "spark plug type", due to their similar appearance.
Offering a sensitivity of 25 mV/g, frequency response of 0.48 to 10,000 Hz, and an axial glass-to-metal sealed 3-pin Bayonet style MS3443H898PN connector, the Dytran model 3062B1 utilizes an integral 1/4-28 x 0.36 inch long mounting stud. Mechanically identical is the model 3062A1, which is offered with a 1/4-28 x 0.25 inch long mounting stud.
Units feature a hermetically sealed stainless steel housing for use in high humidity and dirty environments as well as case isolation, to avoid EMI/ground loop interference. Case ground isolation is achieved by internally isolating the accelerometer, complete with Faraday shield, from the outer housing and mounting surface.
