| Mar 19, 2010 — Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has designed the Model 8463 9-Channel DB15 Switch utilizing MIL components to support rugged MIL applications. This robust network switch is comprised of nine individually controlled DB15 switches. Each channel can be manually switched to either CONNECT or DISCONNECT positions, allowing each channel input to be completely connected or disconnected from its respective channel output. No power is required.
Model 8463 is ruggedized for shock and vibration using MIL-STD-810E, Method 516.4, and MIL-STD-810E, Method 514.4 as well as for humidity and altitude, using MIL-STD-810F, Method 507.4 and MIL-STD-810E, Method 500.3, Procedure 1. These are just a few of the MIL components used to design this complex unit. Workmanship is in accordance with MIL-HDBK-454, Guideline 9 with Letter of compliance certification.
