New DB9 Switch Provides Quick and Easy Sharing of 3 Devices with both Local & Remote Control

Press Release:
Dec 9, 2010 — Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its Model 7270 Single Channel DB9 Interface A/B/C Switch. This low profile, rackmount unit increases network efficiency by allowing the sharing of a single DB9 device among three others.

The Model 7270 features latching relays that maintain connection and switch position during power. This efficient network switch may be controlled locally by a front panel pushbutton or remotely via DB9 serial interface control port located on the rear of the unit. ASCII RS232 Serial data commands allow users remotely to change switch position or query switch status. All 9 pins of the DB9 interface are switched and switched ports are transparent to all data.
