| Feb 16, 2012 — New precision planetary gearheads from Sterling Instrument (An ISO 9001+AS9100 Registered Manufacturer) feature NEMA standard sizes 17, 23, 34 and 42 incorporating hardened planet gears machined to AGMA 12 precision gear tolerances. These rugged units identified as Series S9117T-, S9123T-, S9134T- and S9142T provide torque multiplication, speed reduction, inertia matching and resolution enhancement for D.C. servo, stepper and brushless servomotors.
Each NEMA size is available with ultralow backlash single- and double-stage reductions with gear ratios ranging from 3:1 to 100:1. They all have anodized aluminum housings and sealed ball bearings for maintenance-free operation with no lubrication required. Shaft diameters range from .250" to .625"; and all units include a precision balanced clamp-on pinion. A woodruff key and mounting screws are also included.
