| Nov 18, 2010 — Rome, GA | Profile Extrusion Company announces the purchase of an aluminum Presezzi press. Similar to its big brother “The Titan,” installed in 2006, the new 7 inch press boasts a precision OMAV Handling system and a production capability of 2200 tons.
“Presezzi machines are known for their high level of technology and reliability, and these benefits will allow us to pass on high quality and consistency to our customers,” says Engineering Manager, Danny Thomas.
The new press will allow the company to keep up with the 9% growth in sales experienced over the last year. “We are enthusiastic about the production capabilities and the potential that the press offers for the company as a whole. We have served Rome since 1960, and we are optimistic about the ability to sustain business and growth for the future,” says David Newby, General Manager of Profile Extrusion. “This deal shows the vision of the owner. We believe decisions aren’t made just on present events, but on future expectations based on research and gut instinct.”
Profile Extrusion plans to have the press installed and operational by the fourth quarter of 2011, with the first billet pressed by the end of the year. | |
