| | May 6, 2011 — SERAPID will participate in the second annual National Defense Industry Association (NDIA) Michigan Defense Industrial Base Expo May 18 & 19 from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the Macomb Sports and Expo Center in Warren, Mich. Expo admission is free to U.S. Government employees or members of NDIA or Women in Defense (WID).
SERAPID will display the Telescopic Mast - a high strength telescopic lifting column capable of lifting heavy loads, operating in extreme conditions, reaching heights of 40 feet or more and resisting lateral loads.
The telescopic mast unit is a self-guided lifting column made of high-strength, lightweight aluminum. The masts are powered by SERAPID’s Rigid Chain which provides smooth motion at high speed with no drift.
Three standard options are available – the TM20, TM30 and TM40, which reach 20, 30 and 40 feet in height respectively. Customized systems are also available. These masts operate vertically as well as horizontally.
With an increase in exhibitors from the 2010 show, the NDIA moved the exhibit to the Macomb Sports and Expo Center. The Michigan Defense Industrial Base Expo is continuing its theme again this year, which is to bring an abbreviated version of a large defense exposition to the backyard of the Detroit Arsenal and its current and prospective defense partners.
