Safety Automation Forum Focuses on Protecting People, Productivity and Planet

  Sep 30, 2010 — MILWAUKEE, WI — Manufacturers interested in helping protect personnel, equipment and the environment through advanced machine safety technologies and best practices can gain valuable insight from peers Nov. 2 at the Safety Automation Forum in Orlando, Fla.

Developed for manufacturing innovators, decision-makers, designers and engineers, the Safety Automation Forum, “Protecting People, Productivity and Planet,” brings together industry stakeholders to share their firsthand experiences leveraging machine safety to increase protection of personnel, enhance productivity and improve sustainability practices. The Safety Automation Forum, developed by Rockwell Automation, will be held Nov. 2 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Registration is open.

Keynote speakers will be Greg Anderson, author of “Safety 24/7: Building an Incident-Free Culture” and William Hilton, director of Safety & Health for Georgia-Pacific’s North American Consumer Products Business. Together, they will detail best practices for creating a successful safety culture among employees.

In addition, industry experts, including specialists from PepsiCo Americas, Universal Orlando, National Security Agency, Vestas and Rockwell Automation, will arm attendees with insight into machine safety’s continued importance within manufacturing. Sessions will detail how enhancements in machine safety can improve personnel protection while positively affecting the top and bottom line, as well as help attendees understand how to overcome compliance challenges with global standards.

Rockwell Automation created the multi-session, one-day industry conference to be held in conjunction with the annual Automation Fair event. This premier event for automation and control information, services and solutions features exhibits, technical sessions, hands-on labs and industry forums, will be held Nov. 3-4.
