| Feb 3, 2011 — Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the Model 7200 DB9 A/B switch with ASCII RS-232 Serial Data remote control operation. The Model 7200 enables accessing two separate devices, ports A & B, via connection through a device connected to the Common port of the switch. This switch is suitable for any critical data network.
The Model 7200 may be controlled manually via the front panel pushbutton. A DB9 female connector on the rear panel accepts ASCII RS232 Serial Data for remote control operation. The front panel pushbutton control can be locked out remotely. Switch position state may be attained via the LED display or the remote RS232 rear panel serial port.
The versatile Model 7200 switches all 9 pins of the DB9 interface. The switch ports are transparent to all data. The switch maintains the last set position upon power loss and continues to pass data.
