| May 7, 2012 — The PathWay® Model 7301 is an 8-to-1 DB9 Switch that allows the sharing of a single interface device or network among eight others with both front panel pushbutton control as well as remote control operation via Contact Closure or RS232 Serial Data. The Model 7301 is housed in an anodized black box packaging that provides EMI/RFI shielding and fits securely into a standard 19” rack, taking only 1U of rack space. The Model 7301 has eight front panel pushbuttons for local control. This network switch can also be controlled remotely via a DB9 port using ASCII Commands or via Contact Closure through HD26 port. The remote RS232 ASCII commands allow the user to control the switch position, lockout the front panel operation and obtain the switch status through the DB9 Remote port. Remote Contact Closure commands allow the user to control the switch position through the HD26 port.
The Model 7301 maintains its last set position on power loss and continues to pass data. The unit switches all 9 pins of the DB9 interface and is transparent to data speed and format. Eight front-panel LED’s display the switch position and power status.
The Model 7301 is supplied with a UL approved 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz wall mount power module that supplies 12 VDC, 500 mA to the unit. This module features a 2-prong, US, non-polarized plug. Optionally available is Cat. No. 517277, a CE, RoHS and UL listed table mount wide range power module. This module features 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz and an IEC 60320 C14 inlet that is ideal in supporting international applications.
