| Feb 28, 2011 — Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, announces its newest remotely controllable USB Type-A switch, Model 4507, which is available in a sleek, rackmount configuration. This convenient, 3-position network switch allows switching between three USB devices without disconnecting cables.
The Model 4507 may be controlled manually via front panel pushbutton or remotely from an RS232 serial port via ASCII commands. The A, B, C and Common ports are all Type A, USB connectors and all four pins of the USB interface are switched. This dependable data switch has a rugged aluminum desktop enclosure providing EMI/RFI shielding. The switch maintains the last set position on power loss while continuing to pass data. This unit is also available in a desktop configuration, Model 4506.
