Backward-Curved Fan Manufacturers

A backward-curved fan is a type of centrifugal fan in which the blades are curved such that the ends point in a direction opposite to the rotation of the fan wheel. Centrifugal fans with this type of blade orientations are generally used in applications that require medium-volume flow rates and high pressure. A clear advantage of backward-curved fans over conventional radial fans is their greater energy efficiency, which makes them an ideal option for applications requiring high horsepower. In addition, its main advantage over forward-curved fans is its non-overloading characteristic. However, backward curved fans have to operate at higher speeds to match the pressure and volume of equivalently sized forward-curved fans.
