A cartridge dust collector is a model of dust collector that is ideal for purifying air loaded with fine or highly dense dust particles. Cartridge dust collectors are compact and are characterized by a large surface area and can be operated at a lower pressure drop unlike their counterparts, shaker collectors and pulse jet collectors. Cartridge dust collectors are further sub-divided into vertical cartridges and horizontal cartridges.
