Centrifugal Fan Manufacturers
A centrifugal fan or radial fan is a mechanical device used to transport air or gases in a variety of ventilation and air-pollution control systems, using centrifugal force. These fans consist of a rigid, welded scroll-shaped housing, which contains a fan wheel impeller with an inlet, located on the side of the fan, and an outlet located in line with the fan blade exit ports. The fan blades are mounted around the fan wheel's hub, which is run by a driveshaft that passes through the housing. The air or gas to be circulated enters the fan through the inlet and the fan blades drive the air at right angles to the inlet. In addition, the air is also accelerated by the centrifugal force imparted by the fan blades. This accelerated air is then blown out of the outlet, along with an increase in pressure. In some centrifugal fans, the inward or outward flow of gas is controlled by the use of fan dampers or vanes on either the inlet or outlet.
