Key Stock Manufacturers
A key stock is a shaped and treated metal bar from which machine keys are cut and shaped. These machine keys are removable parts that are used to convey torque from a rotating component to the shaft and they are fitted into keyway slots, which are machined into the shafts. These keystocks are available in different lengths and cross sections, such as square, rectangular, and stepped. They are generally made from stainless steel or steel plated with zinc, though a few non-ferrous metals are used to make keys as well.
