Linear Actuator Manufacturers
A linear actuator is a device used to apply force in a linear manner, which is essentially the force applied along a straight line. This linear motion is achieved using different techniques, and the most common ones include mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. In the mechanical actuator, the linear motion is achieved by converting the rotational motion of a handle or a knob into a linear motion using screws or gears. The hydraulic actuator consists of a hollow cylinder with a piston inserted in it, and the linear motion of the piston is achieved by alternately pressurizing and depressurizing with hydraulic fluid on opposite sides of the piston, consequently achieving linear motion for any object attached to the piston. The pneumatic actuator is similar to the hydraulic actuator, but the hydraulic fluid used is compressed air.
