Though, in general, thermoplastics are used for the preparation of such extrusions, it remains a fact that thermoset plastics are also amenable to extrusion. Numerous extrusion techniques exist: offset extrusion, overcoat extrusion, co-extrusion, oriented extrusion, ram extrusion, screw extrusion and cold extrusion.
