Pneumatic (Air) Cylinder Manufacturers
A pneumatic cylinder is a mechanical device that uses compressed air acting on a piston, placed in a hollow cylinder, to produce both movement and force. There are essentially two types of pneumatic cylinders, a single acting cylinder and a double acting cylinder. In the single acting cylinder, the compressed air acts only on one side of the piston and the piston is returned to its original or 'home' position by a spring incorporated on either inside or outside the hollow cylinder. The double acting cylinder is devoid of any spring and utilizes compressed air acting on the opposite side of the piston, to facilitate its return to its 'home' position.
