Manufacturer Pneumatic conveying is as an alternative to the mechanical conveying of the materials. The conveying of the bulk materials operates by known methods of pressure or suction. Pressure pneumatic transfer is particularly suitable for the transport of materials having high flow rates (up to 200 t./h.) and for medium to long distances (50 to 150 m.). Products are extracted from silos or storage hoppers to supply one or more destination points. Vacuum pneumatic transfer is used to transport over short and medium distances (from 2 to 80 m.) powders or granules that are sensitive to heat, sticky or hygroscopic with a tendency to clog. There are two types of operation of the pneumatic conveying: dilute phase and dense phase. With dilute phase, the air/product mixture is achieved homogeneously. Transport in dilute dense phase is preferential for products of low or medium density, non-abrasive and not sensitive to degradation such as flour, sugar, salt, granulates... When operating in dense phase, the volume of air is lower and pressure upper. This transport system is generally used for products of medium or high density, sensitive to heat, corrosive, or very weak cohesive over short distances. |
