Two major brands of products are supported currently, the Cowles brand of tooling used by flat rolled metal processors, and the PIC brand of tooling used in applications requiring a bonded or brazed-in carbide wear or cutting surface.
Established in 1917, the Cowles name has long been associated with worldwide leadership in the design, manufacture, and support of precision slitting knives, tooling, and shear and scrap chopping blades used in flat rolled metal processing operations.
Established in 1959, the PIC [Perfection in Carbide] name signifies high quality design, manufacture, and support of custom tooling used primarily in centerless grinding equipment and in a variety of other industrial machinery applications.
Advetech's 36,000 square foot manufacturing plant and corporate headquarters are located at 445 West Main Street in Canfield, Ohio USA, just southwest of Youngstown. We are only a short 1 hour drive from Cleveland or Pittsburgh.
