| | In 1943, Apex Machine Products, Inc. began operations in a small garage in Racine, WI. Today, as a 3rd generation, family-owned and operated company, we now occupy over 10,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing area in the heart of the Milwaukee-Chicago industrial corridor. As a 3rd generation, family-owned and operated company, we are constantly updating and increasing our equipment and knowledge of machining.
Apex is a very competitive low volume (500-10,000 order quantity) contract manufacturer of precision automatic screw machine and CNC turned parts including machined bushings, spacers, and pins. Depending on item configuration, our competitive range is larger. Our commitment is to provide excellent service and quality work.
We have 15 Brown & Sharpe automatic screw machines on which we manufacture work up to 1 5/8" in diameter. These are single-spindle, automatic bar machines, including a number of the ultramatic model. Several of these machines have special
attachments such as single point threading, screw slotting, rapid pull-out and four-speed gearboxes.
We have 3 CNC lathes on which we manufacture work up to 3" in diameter. Just like a screw machine, we make items on the CNC lathes from whole pieces of bar stock.
A sampling of the industries we serve include: agricultural equipment, heat transfer systems, hydraulic systems and off-road/heavy-equipment transmissions. We have execeptional delivery and quality records with our customers.
We manufacture items from a variety of material including carbon, alloy, and stainless steels. We also make items from aluminum and brass.
We program our CNC lathes and design all of our screw machine cams. We design and make most of our screw machine form tools. To reduce costs and increase our responsiveness to our customers needs, we maintain a complete cam library, and large inventories of tooling & inspection equipment. Our work force is experienced, conscientious, and stable. Out outside vendors for plating, heat-treating, and grinding are long-term, local and reliable.
