| Apex Medical Technologies, Inc. is a closely held corporation founded in 1985 for the purpose of developing dip molded medical devices using specialized polymers with major advantages over natural rubber latex. We are a full service company located in San Diego, California, where our 12,000 square-foot facility houses nine Class 8 certified cleanrooms (formerly Class 100,000), materials testing laboratories, administrative offices, warehouse, dip molding equipment and facilities, and research and development laboratories. Our management team is comprised of experienced chemical, biomedical, industrial, and mechanical engineers. Our technical foundation emanates from our early experience with the dip molding of polyurethanes and the first commercialized male polyurethane contraceptive condom. Since our inception over 25 years ago, we have continued to advance our technologies, which now include unique processes for dip molding a variety of materials. Preferred elastomeric materials for dip processing include polyurethanes, synthetic polyisoprenes, and silicone. Additionally we are capable of dip molding natural rubber latex for those instances where it is still indicated. Apex has worked as an OEM manufacturer with many medical device companies from initial concept through full-scale production. Products range from components such as catheter balloons, stent covers, probe covers, bellows, sleeves, and breather bags, to complete sterile assemblies such as specimen collection kits and pressurized infusion systems. We also offer many contract services such as research and development, tooling design and injection mold sourcing, die cutting, cleanroom assembly, packaging and labeling, and catheter manufacturing.
