| In 1945, The Arthur G. Russell Company began building automation systems to serve the growing medical device and consumer products industries. Their need for increased throughput prompted the development of innovative assembly machines, high performance vibratory, and rotary feeders, pick and place mechanisms and many other automation components. We employ approximately 100 individuals dedicated to the design and construction of state-of-the-art systems. Our engineering department includes 16 designers and engineers. Our electronics department includes 11 technicians and programmers. Facilities 83,000 sq. ft. Connecticut Facility Fully Equipped With: Electronic system controls department with computer, PLC, vision and robot experience. Experimental testing facility with motion analysis equipment. Engineering department, fully CAD-based. Secure areas for sensitive projects. Complete machining and welding facilities. Products High performance vibratory feeders with automatic servo control, variable vibration angle and feed rates up to 150 fpm. Patented high-speed rotary feeders. High-speed pick and place mechanisms. Complete automation systems for assembly, packaging and testing, including walking beam, rotary and in-line indexing and continuous motion machines with outputs up to 1,800 assemblies per minute.
