| Originally Carl Warmelin, founder of C&H Machine started his first machine shop in his garage in 1949 in Los Angeles, CA. He operated in several locations in Los Angeles area. In 1963, he sold the business and moved with his family to Escondido, CA. Warmelin founded C&H Machine in 1965 and operated the company until 1975 when he retired. The decade old establishment was sold to Allen Burwell, who incorporated it under Merit Industries. In December of 1985, Charles Gohlich and Lyle Anderson bought the firm and have seen the company grow in sales from under $600,000 in 1985 to over nine million in 2000. Chuck Gohlich, Co-owner & General Manager, has been with C&H since 1967 when he started as a floor sweeper for his later-to-become father-in-law. Lyle Anderson, Co-owner and President joined the company in 1981 as Office Manager and Sales. | |
