CGR Products began in 1963 in Greensboro, NC as Carolina Gasket and Rubber Company. Initially the company focused on cutting precision gaskets for MRO applications within the booming textile industry, but has evolved into supplying OEM and MRO products to multiple markets, while offering an array of converting services. CGR Products is a financially stable company with the highest financial ratings achievable.
CGR Products cuts, slits, laminates, skives, and molds flexible, non-metallic materials into precision components for the industrial OEM market. Manufacturing capabilities increased in 1990 with the purchase of Valley Products in Decatur, Alabama. CGR now operates in both North Carolina and Alabama with 125 employees and over 140,000 square feet of manufacturing, office, and warehouse space. Operators using over 75 pieces of quality equipment handle jobs efficiently and with precision.
Customers represent a wide gamut of industrial markets including automotive, marine, appliance, plastic molders, power tools, electrical, small engine, and many more. We sell to OEMs, tier suppliers, and military and government contractors. Both the Greensboro, NC and the Decatur, AL locations are ISO 9001:2000 certified and have a number of product platforms that meet stringent TS 16949 requirements. These are but two aspects of a quality program that begins with preventative activities and continuous process improvement.
Our associates average over 12 years experience with us. Inside sales and product development teams work hand-in-hand with account managers to assure that orders flow smoothly through our system from concept to finished product. Customers are continually updated in regard to order acknowledgement, sample approval, production runs, and shipment confirmation. Our dedicated team ensures ease of designing and ordering parts, on-time deliveries with no quality problems, and trouble-free transactions because CGR believes a customer’s experience should be seamless and convenient.
Substantially shorter lead times are made possible by our complete in-house tool and die capabilities. Dies are produced from AutoCAD drawings and tool maintenance is completed internally. CGR also maintains an extensive inventory of raw materials that contributes to shorter delivery times for both prototypes and sizable production runs. An inventory of finished goods is stocked for customers who require JIT deliveries or who simply need the peace of mind that a safety stock is in place.
