3-A Sanitary Check Valve Style - 3S The 3-A Sanitary Check Valve is an all 316/316L stainless steel check valve with a standard 32 Ra or better finish, (finer available) for use in new or existing sanitary systems. The 3SC design seals on the ID of sanitary ferrules with 3-A specified materials (standard is EPDM). The valve seals inside fittings such as Tri-Clover® Bevel Seat, and Tri-Clamp®, Waukesha Cherry-Burrell Q-Clamp®, and S-Line® and others with ID dimensions equal to the "F" dimensions listed. The valve is designed to be easily disassembled and spare parts are available. The compact 3SC design fits inside a single set of ferrules, and requires no additional space in the line. The insert design makes it extremely economical when compared to full-bodied valves. The wide variety of seat materials and cracking pressure springs allows this series to be used as a check valve or vacuum breaker. Please specify when ordering. BUTT WELD STYLE - B4 The Butt Weld (B4) check valve is a one piece body machined from bar stock, eliminating porosity concerns and providing uniform density for more consistent welds. Made to ASME/ANSI B16.25 for schedule 40 pipe, it carries rugged, dependable Check-All trim with a wide variety of seat materials and cracking pressures to choose from. Note: Please take precautionary measures when welding to prevent heat build-up and possible damage to the valve seat. Straight-Sided Insert Style - SI The Straight Sided Insert is a thread less check valve designed to be inserted into any cavity where a check valve is needed and threads are not desired. Bushing Valve Style - BU The Bushing Valve is a check valve with a standard bushing housing. The valve is adaptable to many types of service applications. It has very little restriction and produces a low pressure drop. It can be used quite effectively in systems where flow and pressure drop are critical by the use of a reducer coupling. The Bushing Valve also makes an excellent vacuum breaker. The high flow rate insures maximum effectiveness for vacuum breaker service. By reversing the direction of flow it can also be used as a low pressure relief valve. Wafer Insert Valve Style - WV The Wafer Insert (WV) valve is designed to fit between two mating ANSI flanges. Two gaskets are required, instead of the one normally used. The "drop in" valve body fits inside the bolt circle for quick installation and removal in rigid piping applications where the use of the F1, F6, or FP are not practical. Many valves in this series meet API 594 requirements. WV valves can be used as check valves, low pressure relief valves, and vacuum breakers by simply using deferent spring settings.
