Founded in 1984, Control Resources is a leading OEM supplier of fan and motor speed controls and alarms to the electronics, telecommunications and HVAC industries. Products and Services Custom Design & Manufacturing Services: The CRI design team specializes in: custom analog design, AC and DC motor drives, digital and power electronics, embedded microcontrollers, system monitoring and reporting, user programmable features and digital interfaces. Our engineering staff has produced over 300 custom designs for our customers. SmartFan® Speed Controllers and Alarms: The foundation of our business is the SmartFan line of variable speed controls and alarms for fans, motors and pumps. For AC applications, we offer Triac/phase controllers and variable frequency drives with current ratings up to 18 Amps for single and 3-phase motors. For DC applications, we offer linear and switching type controllers for 12, 24 and 48 VDC applications with current ratings up to 9 Amps. Controllers regulate motor speed based on temperature, pressure, humidity, a control signal (0-20 mA, 0-10 VDC) or communication link (I2C, MODBUS). SmartFan controls and alarms offer many benefits including: acoustical noise reduction, energy savings, greater product reliability, increased fan life and improved safety. They are used worldwide in a range of products including: • File Servers • Storage Subsystems • Telecommunication Equipment • ATE Products • Medical Devices • HVAC Systems Custom Fan Trays: Control Resources' VariCool group specializes in providing custom fan trays built to your specifications. The most complicated component in a fan tray is the electronics to control/monitor fan speed and report fan tray status. With our 20+ years of designing and producing standard and custom SmartFan controls and alarms, CRI has the capability to assemble and test your fan tray. Manufacturing Capabilities: • Schematic, hardware, software, layout, prototype and production services all provided in CRI's Littleton, MA facility • ISO 9000 registered • UL certified facility • SMT and mixed production capabilities • Electronic, mechanical and value added services all done on-site • R0HS (5/6, 6/6), no clean and water soluble production options |
