Recently, Direct Scientific introduced Radguard"lead underwear" for prostate cancer patients who were implanted with radioactive seeds (brachytherapy). This "lead underwear" is simply leaded vinyl covered in fabric. It has shielding properties which protect family members from radiation emitted from the radioactive iodine and palladium seeds within the cancer patient. Direct Scientific also manufactures their own radiation shielding.
