| Farr Automation, Inc. specializes in machine design, construction, and integration for the manufacturing process. Most of our products are custom designed to meet customer specifications. This includes, but is not limited to, robotic plasma cutting, welding, material handling, dispensing, material removal and other non-robotic automated systems such as, high-speed assembly cells, leak detection systems, process machines and material handling systems.
Farr Automation, Inc. designs and builds custom automated equipment and robotic systems and cells to meet customer specific needs. This includes system design and engineering, motion and stress analysis (one of a very few companies with this capability), in-house fabrication and machining of precision components for high quality systems and controls and interfaces that are operator friendly. Farr Automation, Inc. equipment is produced for many applications across a wide variety of industries. Applications include, but are not limited to cells and systems that do grinding, finishing, welding, plasma cutting, palletizing, gluing, and specialty machines, such as a machines that glue, cut, and stack drywall risers. Businesses use equipment from Farr Automation, Inc. in the production drywall, toolboxes, building products, wheel chairs, food, consumer goods, power generation, and select automotive companies.
All products from Farr Automation, Inc. are custom made to customer specifications. Because of the demonstrated ability of the company to produce one-of-a kind custom machines, their competition is limited. Smaller companies lack the expertise, experience and infrastructure in this field to compete competitively. Larger companies prefer to design products for a "line" that they sell and do not produce the unique designs and equipment necessary to be competitive in building custom equipment. Farr Automation, Inc. cross-trains employees so they have skills in multiple areas of design, fabrication and assembly.
The systems built at Farr Automation are designed to meet an industry specific need. Every aspect from the initial concept to delivery and set-up are handled in-house, utilizing "state of the art" design systems and equipment. Farr has installations from New Hampshire to Los Angles and from northern Michigan to Mexico.
Farr Automation opened for business in 1999, and is located in Ashland Ohio.
