| In 1980 we were founded as Galow Metal Products, Inc. by Gary Galow. Gary began his career in metal fabrication at a young age as a junior draftsman for a fabrication firm in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Gary worked his way up to chief engineer and plant manager. It was comfortable--but Gary had reached a turning point in his life and yearned for a challenge. At around the same time, a small metal fabrication company was forced to close its doors permanently--with dozens of orders yet to be filled. On the lookout for such an opportunity, Gary discovered the shuttered company at auction. Here were the presses, welders and other equipment he needed to take his ideas from dream to reality. In October of 1980, Galow Metal Products, Inc. opened its doors for business. Gary's start-up company set to work, honoring existing contracts and redesigning the plant to boost production capabilities. In 1984 Galow Metal Products, Inc. launched it's vinyl molding and coating division. Together or alone, the combination of metal and vinyl processes provides a one stop source for many applications. Today, Galow Metal & Plastics, Inc. is well known for their quality and service that they provide to more than 5,000 customers around the world. Now owned by Gary's daughter, Julie Walotka, the guiding principle that was in place on day one, is still in place today: First and foremost, "Be of service to the customer". | |
