| | Garrod Hydraulics opened its doors in 1978 and quickly outgrew its shop area. Current repair options were surveyed and Gene realized large-scale repair options were few and far between. Garrod's focus became: To do what nobody else would do. Garrod can repair, polish, and plate up to 50 feet and the company grew rapidly as word of their capabilities spread. However, the true test came with the repeat business.
The secret to Garrod's success is reflective in the quality of services. Quality is not compromised and control is maintained in-house because Garrod services the project from start to finish. At Garrod, we stand behind our employees and hire only those with the best qualifications. This commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction has been in place since day one, but was formally recognized in 1999 when Garrod Hydraulics became the first ISO 9002 certified supplier in hydraulic cylinder service and repair in the U.S.
Today, Garrod Hydraulics is one of the largest industrial hard chrome plating shops on the East Coast.
