| | Since their humble beginnings, Ionics has added several large additions to the existing Bridgeville, Pa. facility, and has christened a new plant in Canonsburg, Pa. just 9 miles from the original plant. These facility additions have allowed Ionics to effectively support all types of fabrication - from the very large (300+ tons) to the very small (nuts, bolts, fasteners). Ionics now has over a quarter of a million square feet of manufacturing space at its disposal, with room for expansion.
In the mid 1990's Ionics once again endeavored to enter the commercial nuclear market. Pursuant to this desire, Ionics has added personnel, capital equipment, and new methodologies necessary to make this transition successful. Ionics now has a Repair and Replacement Parts Group that serves utilities and OEM's with replacement components for installation during utility outages. Ionics understands the need to move quickly on these products to support demanding outage schedules while maintaining the strict level of quality that the industry demands. | |
