JAI PULNiX provides one of the broadest camera offerings of any industrial camera manufacturer in the world. JAI PULNiX's product line features both CCD and CMOS technologies, spatial resolutions from VGA to multi-megapixel, progressive scan and interlaced format, and sensitivity to light levels as low as .00001 lux. Our camera offerings include both monochrome and color, real-time image capture at rates from 8 fps to 200 fps, and a wide variety of physical interfaces including Camera LinkT and the new GigE Vision gigabit Ethernet interface.
Founded in July 1982 as PULNiX America, Inc., the company was a pioneer in the development of miniature, solid state, progressive scan cameras based on new Charge Coupled Device (CCD) technology available from Japan. The company's original TM-34K CCD camera generated a very clear, geometrically precise video image. PULNiX developed functional options which made these cameras readily adaptable to many applications for both the industrial and surveillance user. PULNiX soon adapted the broad range of special customer camera requirements into a new generation of progressive scan CCD cameras of its own exclusive design and manufacture.
In April 2003, a little over 20 years after its founding, PULNiX was purchased by JAI and became JAI PULNiX.
JAI was established in 1963 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and has subsidiaries in Japan, the US, and the UK.
