| L-S Electro-Galvanizing Co. was a partnership between LTV Steel Corp. and Sumitomo Metals of Japan. After the bancrupcy filing of LTV Steel, Sumitomo Metals sold its portion of the partnership to AK Steel corporation and the the new owner of LTV STeel was ISG Steel so the new name of the company became AK-ISG Steel Coating Co. The partnership remained until a few years after Arcelor Steel bought ISG Steel. Corporate differences led to AK Steel dissolving the partnership.L-S Electro-Galvanizing Co. was a high quality coating line serving the automotive market producing outer body electrogalvanized steel. The product was known for the low coefficient of friction on its surface that was unique to their process. L-S Electro-Galvanizing Co. was a winner of the national RIT/USA Today Quality Cup award.
