| | Founded by entrepreneurial-spirited engineers in 1941 as the Perfection Mica Company, the company was focused initially on the design and manufacture of Mica wafers used as insulation in electronics. Magnetic Shield was developed as a division.
Shortly after the founding, the magnetic shielding division grew to such a dominant position in our business plan that the company changed its name to Magnetic Shield Corporation.
Driving that growth were proprietary methods for creating high permeability alloys as a magnetic shielding that became more important as sensitive electronic applications were developed during WWII.
Used to shield instruments such as airplane radar screens and gauges from outside magnetic interference, NETIC® and CO-NETIC® shielding material from Magnetic Shield Corporation are now used in wide ranging applications tied to the tremendous growth of electronics.
We offer a variety of services as well as products and materials ranging from NETIC® and CO-NETIC® foil and laboratory instruments to ImageGuardTM CRT shields and entire magnetically-shielded rooms. Our engineering staff will work closely with your personnel to design a custom solution to your specific problem. We will then execute that design to produce your shields in a timely fashion, with the quality that has been our hallmark for over 60 years.
