| | 1947 - The company was founded and incorporated in the State of Ohio in 1947 under the name: Associated Millwrights, Inc. Primarily an erection/equipment installer, the company specialized in the installation of brewery equipment - - pasteurizers, washers and associated conveyors. At that time the company was also installing a considerable amount of equipment for the Kroger Company's coffee, dairy and food divisions.
1954 - Associated Millwrights, Inc., purchased a machine shop at the company's current Cincinnati, Ohio site in 1954. Named T.K.F. Engineering and Laundry Machine Co., this firm manufactured laundry equipment. It had been founded prior to World War I by three partners: Timmerman, Kipp and Foster, hence the "T.K.F." name.
1958 - The company began designing and manufacturing conveyors in 1958, and the name was changed to T.K.F. Engineering Co.
1973 - The official corporate name was shortened and simplified to T.K.F., inc., in 1973.
1979 - TKF developed its proprietary lines of vertical conveyors and began to develop its custom conveyor system business in 1979. Shortly thereafter TKF developed its standard 3" and 4" overhead monorail conveyors.
1990 - During the 1990's, T.K.F.'s R&D produced a number of new conveying products: medium to heavy live roller conveyors, zoned accumulation conveyors, and PosiGrip Conveyor systems.
2000 - As TKF approaches the new millennium, the company's engineers continue to refine and perfect current products as well as develop new and innovative solutions to its customer's material handling challenges. | |
