- Urethane Casting Urethane casting refers to the method of casting urethane components from temporary polymer molds. Prepared from a master pattern, these molds are generally made from RTV silicone. This casting process is especially popular for rapid prototyping, and urethane is used because of its availability in different material options, which can match the mechanical properties of the production material. Besides this, another advantage of using urethane is that it makes a cost-effective option for resin casting. Urethane castings are used for a number of applications, ranging from sales and marketing to component testing. The process involves producing a master pattern, either by conventional machining or stereolithography, followed by the creation of a silicone mold from the master pattern, which is then used to cast the urethane component.

- Upset Forgings An upset forging is a forging obtained by upset (working metal in such a manner that the cross-sectional area is increased, and length is decreased) of a suitable length of bar, billet, or bloom; formed by heading or gathering the material by pressure upon hot or cold metal between dies operated in a horizontal plane.

- Ultrasonic Welding Ultrasonic welding is a process that applies high-frequency ultrasonic acoustic vibrations to the weld area of two sections held under pressure, in order to create a solid-state weld. Ultra sonic welding is commonly used for joining plastic, particularly to join two dissimilar materials. The ability to join plastic has made this process ideal for applications in various industries, including the computer, electrical, automotive, and aerospace.
