| Mar 5, 2012 — SourceOne recognizes that a healthy and happy workforce is critical to the success of its business and that of its customers. As part of its overall health and wellness program, SourceOne partnered with a key local business partner, Lincoln Industries, to open an on-site health center that provides free services to employees and IMSCORP-health-insured spouses and children over 12. HealthyU will focus on wellness and prevention, as well as provide care and treatment for a variety of injuries and illnesses.
“I’m convinced HealthyU will be an important part of our future,” said CEO Nick Cusick. “Easy access to care and individual health responsibility are key components to the future of health care, not just in Lincoln, not just in Nebraska, but in our country as a whole.”
According to Cusick, maintaining a healthy workforce is expected to reduce or control the rising cost of health insurance, as well as boost morale and help SourceOne attract and retain quality employees. In turn, this allows SourceOne to operate efficiently and offer its customers competitive pricing.
A crowd of employees, elected officials and media witnessed the July 27 ribbon cutting, which marked the opening of Lincoln’s first workplace on-site health center, as well as Nebraska’s first workplace center to offer medical services at no cost to its employees and their families. “Wellness is key to the future of our state, and HealthyU is a great example of an innovative and creative approach to wellness for Nebraskans,” said Gov. Dave Heineman. | |
