Manufacturer, Contract Manufacturer, Service Company The screw extruders engineered by "Polymerstroy 18" are used for the preparation of homogenous mixture of polymers, sand and coloring agent. In the described process the compound undergoes heating, in the result of which the polymeric binder melts down and sticks together the particles of the filler. Then the obtained mass is extruded to be fed into a press mold for compacting. The extruders we supply differ in production capacity (from 500 kg per hour to 1000 kg per hour). All of them are equipped with several independent heating zones each of which is designed to perform its individual task - from dehumidifying the polymer-sand mass, heating it to melting, degassing and maintaining the obtained temperature and, thus, plasticity of the composite. The heating zones operate on tubular heating elements and are run by automatic temperature controllers. The offered extrusion units are equipped with frequency-variable drives to prevent their screws from overloading and thrusts as well as to provide for smooth start of the machine. The screw blades are made of special alloy steels and tempered to make them highly resistant to abrasive materials of the mixed composite.
