Silicone O Ring Manufacturers
A silicone O ring offers excellent resistance to extreme temperatures, ranging from -150°F to +500°F, for various sealing applications. Silicone rubber is a polymer made from the amalgamation of silicon with hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon. Its high resistance to extreme temperatures makes it a perfect O-ring recommendation for applications that involve high and low dry heat temperatures. However, its poor tensile strength and susceptibility to tearing and abrasions, has made it unsuitable for dynamic sealing applications. In addition, silicone O rings are also incompatible with most petroleum oils and ketones. Despite this, silicone rubber's exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures makes it ideal for static sealing operations in food processing applications.
