EM-TECHNIK Series 1B For flexible tubes with 3 mm wall thickness. The flexible tube (e.g. PVC textile reinforced) is expanded on pushing it onto the connecting sleeve integrated into the connector body. Locking is via a knurled nut. 1) Thread manufactured according to DIN, USAS or JIS => Various connection options 2) Connector available in PA, PP, PVDF => High media resistance 3) Connector body with taper => Transitions without dead volumes 4) Thread manufactured without seam => High tightness, long term stability 5) Hexagon manufactured according to DIN 6) Connecting sleeve manufactured without seam => High tightness, long term stability The connection principle used in the Series 1B from EM-TECHNIK entails widening the flexible tube e.g. a textile reinforced PVC tube, while pushing it onto an integrated connecting sleeve. The tube is secured in place by means of a knurled nut acting on the flexible tube and the connecting sleeve. Pressure tests have shown that this connection principle is easily able to withstand a pressure of up to 30 bar at a temperature of 20°C.
EM-TECHNIK Series 1C The flexible tube is pressed onto the connecting sleeve integrated onto the connector body. The flexible tube is secured using a clamping ring (1A) or a sealing ring and a cutting ring (1C), locking is via a knurled nut (1A/1C). 1) Thread manufactured without seam => High tightness, long term stability 2) Hexagon manufactured according to DIN 3) Sealed by PTFE sealing ring => Maximum media resistance 4) Connector available in PA, PP, PVDF, PFA => High media resistance 5) Thread manufactured according to DIN, USAS or JIS => Various connection options 6) Connecting sleeve manufactured without seam => High tightness, long term stability 7) Cutting ring made of PEEK => Optimum guard against pull-off forces The connection principle used in the Series 1C from EM-TECHNIK entails pushing the firm flexible tube or the plastic pipe onto an integrated connecting sleeve and using a sealing ring to produce a tight fit. The tube is secured in place by a cutting ring, which is forced against the tube by a knurled nut. The more the knurled nut is screwed onto the connector body, the more the cutting ring wedges the flexible tube or pipe. Screwing on the knurled nut causes a shear force to act via the cutting ring, which intensifies the contact pressure. The result is a tight, friction-locked connection which can be released at any time and minimizes the dead volume.
EM-TECHNIK Series 1D Connectors in HP (high purity) quality. The flexible tube is first enlarged using heat and then pressed onto the connecting sleeve integrated into the connector body. The tube is secured in place by means of a knurled nut acting on the flexible tube. What makes this connection principle special is the elimination of dead volume. The flexible tube and the connecting sleeve produce a form-locked connection, resulting in a connection with no dead volume. The connection principle 1D is available in HP quality. We achieve this quality in a 5-step process: 1. Cleaning in an ultrasonic bath, with oil separator 2. Cleaning in a DI bath (distilled and ionised) 3. Re-cleaning in a DI bath (18.5MΩ) in a clean-room under Class 100 clean-room conditions 4. Drying the components in a vacuum under Class 100 cleanroom conditions 5. Assembly, final inspection and packing of the parts in a cleanroom. As packaging we use two bags. To prevent dirt deposits, the bags are filled with Class 5.0 nitrogen and welded. Our connectors are manufactured without seams, likewise in HP quality, to guarantee a very high level of tightness. Compatibility of our connectors with other standard flexible tube connecting systems is assured.
