Custom Rubber Products and Molded Rubber Parts Da/Pro Rubber, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of rubber products and custom molded rubber parts. We work hand-in-hand with our customers to design and manufacture unique rubber products, while providing the best customer support and technical advice possible.
• Some custom rubber parts that we have manufactured include diaphragms, connector inserts, seals, valves, custom shapes, o-rings and more. We manufacture custom rubber products such as rubber diaphragms with thickness as small as .006". Our custom rubber electrical inserts hold complex internal hole configurations having minor diameters as small as 0.017 x 0.75 inches long. • Da/Pro Rubber engineering services review your custom rubber product and offer the best solution for the moldability of your rubber parts. Our chemists assist you in finding the best material to suit your application. • Whatever you create, we have the capability, knowledge and experience to be your rubber molded products partner.
Micro Molding Rubber at Da/Pro Rubber Medical, Electronics, and Consumer Goods industries are continually manufacturing smaller devices. The demand for micro molding has increased significantly. As the demand increases the need for quality and tight tolerances also increases. Da/Pro has manufactured precision micro molding parts including: Micro molding o-rings, Micro molding valves, and Micro molding custom shapes. Da/Pro Rubber molds parts that weigh less than .00029 grams and are less than .0011" in diameter. Micro molding requires precision tooling and a controlled molding process (see the Da/Pro Process) The Da/Pro Process allows micro molding parts that are high quality, tight tolerance, and virtually flash free. This process reduces the need for secondary operations such as cryogenic de-flashing which could potentially damage intricate parts. Contact a Da/Pro Rubber engineer for your micro molding needs.
Silicone Rubber Molding Silicone rubber has excellent high temperature properties and can used in liquid silicone injection molding or as a silicone gum in compression molding process. Silicone rubber can operate normally from -55°C to +300°C. This makes silicone rubber components ideal in high altitude situations in the aerospace industry or high temperature sterilization environments as in medical applications. Silicone rubber is used in a variety of industries not only for its extreme temperature properties but also the superiority to conventional rubbers in properties such as tensile strength, elongation, tear strength and compression set. Silicone rubber is a highly inert material and does not react with most chemicals. This makes it a highly used material in molding for medical applications and implants. Silicone rubber is an excellent electrical insulator and is often used in electrical connector insert applications. Silicone rubber has a "backbone" of silicon-oxygen links as opposed to organic rubber that has a carbon to carbon backbone, which is a main factor in it's resistance to ozone, UV, heat and other aging factors. Liquid Silicone Rubber Molding - LSR Liquid Silicone Rubber - LSR is the material used in the liquid injection molding ( LIM ) process at Da/Pro Rubber. LSR produces medium to high volume rubber parts more efficiently and economically than other rubber molding processes. Using LSR materials have the following molding benefits: • LSR molding cycle time is measured in seconds as opposed to minutes by other methods • LSR molding materials are premixed in a closed system preventing contamination • Using LSR in the LIM process produces less scrap from excess rubber molding material than other methods. • The flow properties of liquid silicone rubber make it ideal for molding smaller, tight tolerance parts • The flow properties of LSR also make it essential to manufacture a precision tool to prevent secondary operations caused by excess flash in the molding process. LSR is a cured rubber silicone with low compression set, great stability and the ability to resist extreme temperature variations. Da/Pro Rubber molds components using LSR material in the LIM molding process. LSR components range from medical device valves to gas diaphragms.
Buna Fluorosilicone Rubber Da/Pro Rubber custom molds components to your specifications using buna rubber, butyl rubber, fluorosilicone, natural rubber, syntheltic rubbers, silicones, plastics, TPE, and high temp plastics. Da/Pro staff chemists are available to develop organic, inorganic or silicone / fluorosilicone compounds to satisfy your specific requirements. Physical properties of all rubber compounds that are critical to the function of the molded product are continually monitored in our laboratory.
