Waste Containment Liner Systems Solid Waste Landfill Landfill liners are designed and constructed to create a barrier between the waste that is dumped in the landfill and the ground below it. When a new landfill disposal area is constructed, referred to as a landfill cell, the geomembrane liner and other geosynthetic products are installed. Once these materials are placed, they are then seamed together and tested to verify that the seams do not contain leaks or weak points. These liner materials ensure that leachate is channeled properly through the landfill to a collection point rather than allowing leakage into the ground where it can become a hazard to groundwater and the surrounding environment. Solid waste landfills are highly engineered containment systems that are designed to minimize the impact that waste (refuse, trash, and garbage) can do to the environment and human health. The geomembrane liner's primary purpose is to isolate the landfill's components from the environment and to ensure protection of the soil and groundwater.
Waste Containment Liner Systems Mining Increased awareness and new regulations in the mining industry have led to the use of geosynthetics in areas such as solution containment, contaminated soil containment, and reclamation. Geomembranes serve a double purpose, not only do they contain valuable resources, but they protect the surrounding environment as well by inhibiting the spread of contaminated water from runoff and infiltration into the ground.
Hallaton Inc. has been serving your containment needs and providing customers with quality and expertise for over 12 years. We are a certified installer and have the experience working with a wide variety of geosynthetics in many different applications. Liquid Containment Liner Systems Secondary Containment Secondary containment consists of a liner system that surrounds a primary containment system such as a steel tank. These tanks often contain hazardous materials such as fuel or chemicals that can be very damaging to the environment and dangerous if released by a primary containment failure. The secondary containment is typically a lined area with dike walls surrounding an above ground storage tank. If the tank were to fail and leak, then the surrounding secondary containment area is designed to have the capacity to contain the entire spill volume and confine it until clean up can be performed.
Hallaton Inc. is your quality installer when it comes to secondary containment and is able to fabricate and place liner in even the most hard to reach areas of a job. Give us the chance to show you our expertise in this field.
Liquid Containment Liner Systems Golf course ponds Geosynthetics have a wide variety of uses in the golfing industry. Geomembrane liners have been used on golf courses in areas such as irrigation and drainage ditches, but most commonly used ponds. Golf course ponds are very important on a golf course, offering aesthetic value and golf hazards for the course. Installing a pond is an expensive venture, so using a geosynthetic liner system you can ensure the proper containment of water without losing volume to seepage into the ground. After our materials are installed the seams are tested for any leaks in the liner. Once completed and the pond has been filled these liner systems are covered with water and become invisible to the eye.
When considering the use of geosynthetics, go with a company you can count on. Hallaton Inc. has the knowledge, expertise, and over 12 years of experience installing these materials. Contact us for your next job and see how Hallaton Inc. can meet your liner needs.
Liquid Containment Liner Systems Potable Water Storage Potable water, as defined by the EPA Ground Water and Drinking Water Glossary, is water safe for human consumption. Potable water storage is a public health issue and a growing concern with the problems such as pollution and fear of drought. To protect against such problems, geomembrane liners are being used to prevent contamination and evaporation of this valuable resource. Selection of the proper liner system is crucial when designing a new system. There are many types of geomembranes and their applications vary.
Contact Hallaton Inc. for advice on the proper liner material for your containment needs. With our 12 years of experience, Hallaton Inc. has the experience and expertise to provide you with the quick and professional job required for such a project.
Liquid Containment Liner Systems Waste Water Lagoons In the 1980's, increased awareness and new regulations addressing industrial and municipal waste water were developed. Many wastewater treatment facilities and their holding lagoons fell under government mandates such as the Clean Water Act, requiring a lining system to contain contaminants and prevent the polluting of streams or groundwater. Hallaton Inc. has extensive experience in the installation of various liner materials in the large volume containment lagoons, as well as smaller detailed applications such as sludge drying beds. Hallaton Inc. understands the importance of a job well done and will provide you with a finished product that is professional and high quality. |
