POSITIVE LOCK PINS Carr Lane's variety of quick-release pins offer precision alignment for many manufacturing, tooling, and assembly applications. Ball Lock Pins, the most popular type, have a precisely ground shank available in many diameters and grip lengths. These quick-release pins are positive locking until released by pushing a button, which moves the center spindle to allow the locking balls to retract into a radial groove. Ball Lock Pins are available single or double acting, in several handle styles, or in an adjustable grip length version. The Ball Lock Mounting System allows accurately locating and clamping at the same time, with just the twist of a hex wrench, and is ideal for mounting quick-change fixture plates on a subplate. Also featured are spring-loaded detent pins, and expanding pins with a positive cam action that expands split bushings to lock the pin in place. Lifting pins, which are single-acting ball lock pins with a one-piece body and four balls for high tension loads, are also featured. The lifting pin's sturdy forged shackle allows for heavy lifting. New this year are ball lock and detent pins for marine and other corrosive environments. Additional Info: http://www.carrlane.com/pressreleases/balldetenpr.cfm |
