Thermox™ thermal oxidizers efficiently react Hydrocarbons (HCs) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) with oxygen in the air to form naturally occurring carbon dioxide and water vapor (HC + O2 + heat -> H2O + CO2). This reaction occurs when the air is heated to a sufficiently high temperature, typically 1400 - 1600°F (760 - 870°C). The fuel needed to heat the process stream to the oxidation temperature is greatly reduced in a Thermox system by using a recuperator or "preheater". With or without a preheater, the Thermox is capable of achieving the highest VOC, hydrocarbon and odor destruction of any of our technologies. The Thermox is also designed to provide reliable performance over a wide range of process variables.
Best Value Air-Clear relies on a network of world class providers of specialty components selected by our Engineers for integration into cohesive system. Suppliers are selected based on the design features, quality of construction, and cost competiveness. In addition Air-Clear Fabricates internally, eliminating the cost mark ups passed on by subcontracted fabricators. Several extraction wells are efficiently controlled by one thermal oxidizer. Since soil remediation projects have a finite life (1-5 years) these wells are controlled by a leased unit, saving capital cost.
Post commissioning support Worldwide Capability- AC has completed projects worldwide. Air-Clear supports these projects on an ongoing basis by a combination of in house resources, remote diagnostics and localized support personnel. • FAT - Factory Acceptance Test – reduces commissioning and start up time by running a thorough diagnostic system check PRIOR to shipment • Air-Clear has extensive knowledge of various materials of construction and metallurgies to insure long-term system performance and reliability, especially when working on Chlorinated applications. Pilot testing, rental Lease options and pre-owned- ‘re-commissioned’ equipment are available from Air-Clear. Additional heat is recovered from the exhaust stack by an air / air exchanger is used to heat ambient air which is returned back to the dryer. This allows for the solvent in the process exhaust to provide the heat for the dryer
ThermGen 3 chamber RTO with secondary heat recovery on a steel coating line. Air-Clear’s ThermGen™ Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTO) are the most energy efficient, cost effective solutions for the reduction of VOCs and odorous air emissions…here’s why: • Ceramic energy recovery beds capture and reuse up to 95% of the systems energy. The result is low fuels cost. • Heat released from the oxidation of the VOCs is also captured in the recovery beds which further helps reduce supplement fuel use. In fact, with a VOC concentration of about 3% of the LFL the ThermGen™ RTO is self sustaining, that is no supplement heat input is required.
By fabricating ‘in house’ Air-Clear maintains quality and schedule control at a lower cost to our customer.

Regenerative Catalytic Oxidizers (RCO) Air-Clear’s Regenerative Catalytic Oxidizers (RCO) are the most energy efficient, cost effective solutions for the reduction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odorous air emissions...here’s why. Highly effective at reducing VOCs by means of catalytic oxidation, eliminates as much as 99% of the VOCs meeting the EPA. • Ceramic energy recovery beds capture and reuse up to 95% of the systems energy. The result is low fuels cost. • Heat released from the oxidation of the VOCs is also captured in the recovery beds which further help reduce supplement fuel use. In fact, with a VOC concentration of about 3% of the Lower Flammability Limit (LFL) the RCO is self sustaining, that is no supplement heat input is required. Low profile, skid mounted, RCO (12,000 CFM) is being lowered onto the structural support frame.
